Welcome

UCSF Global Health Sciences has developed processes and tools to synthesize, transform and communicate health data from multiple sources. This site contains resources and materials necessary for this process.

The data use process includes collation and review of available data; data management; integration into a unified dataset; and data exploration, analysis, interpretation, and presentation. Presentation of data includes creating tables, graphs, and maps to accompany oral presentations, reports, and scientific manuscripts to better demonstrate diverse geographic and population patterns and trends. This model is used predominantly by health program and strategic information personnel to support program planning and resource allocation with an emphasis on building  technical capacity to visualize data from multiple data sources.
